Bush # 2?

big HL.....did you honestly think that i was gonna hold a blog for the whole year in political science and not tear apart that old man that you want as a president? you say that he is trying to pull away from bush...which would be a very smart idea since he only has a 23 % approval rating in america, but this acceptance speech looks awfully similar to another one that i have heard before...i cant remember who it was though. oh thats right George Bush! Take a look at a little clip my boy jon stewart put together...http://http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=184111&title=John-McCain's-Big-Acceptance-Speech it looks like the two show a lot in common now doesnt it HL?

See HL you have been following John McCain for a while i see...see McCain did have different views from George Bush and there were few similarities if any with Bush...but that was until McCain decided that he wanted to run for president and he knew that the hardcore conservatives were pissed off with these views, so he decided to change them. He completely changed his views on a womans right to chose and the judges he would appoint just to name a few. Another thing that makes me uneasy is all of the corruption in the Keating Five Scandal and Savings and Loans crisis in 1989 that McCain was a part of. He may have not been charged with anything but should someone who is going to run our country be involved with this kind of stuff at all anyway? Maybe not only Bush 2 but perhaps Nixon 2? And besides who votes against making Martin Luther King day a national holiday like McCain did in 83'?

oh and i forgot to talk about his age being an issue. it is not a big one, however it can be a concern to look at...McCain has already been treated for skin cancer 3 different times and has also lived way past what his father and grandfather lived which was 61 and 70. Not a big deal with the election but it does have some voters thinking is the president i vote for gonna be with us for all 4 years?

Wow. That's an interesting video you found. I think that it was photoshpped like HL said, but that John McCain really is more of the same. He has many similar ideas to GW bush and did vote on his side many times in the senate...

Nice use of video Matt! I think the clip is clever and funny, though perhaps a bit oversimplified! To be fair, lets remember that Obama hasn't broken party lines very much himself.
